Public advocate Letitia James hosted a "Talk to Tish" town hall meeting Wednesday in the South Bronx.
The meeting was held at the Casita Maria Center on Simpson Street.
More than 100 people came out to listen to James address topics including affordable housing, immigration and health care. Some residents said they are concerned about schools shutting down in the Bronx and asked James to preserve education in the borough.
Other community members said there is not enough housing for senior citizens in the Bronx.
James hosted the event in collaboration with U.S. Rep. Jose Serrano, state Assemblyman Marcos Crespo and City Councilman Rafael Salamanca Jr.
