A basketball court at a Fordham park reopened Friday after a major renovation.
Students from P.S. 246 attended a ribbon-cutting ceremony for the new court at St. James Park on Jerome Avenue. Councilman Fernando Cabrera, who helped secure $150,000 for renovation work at the park, was also on hand.
The court now has new rims and backboards, flooring, and more.
New synthetic turf was installed recently at the park's soccer field, and plans are in the works to renovate the handball court.
