Thousands flocked to Orchard Beach Tuesday to soak up the sun and celebrate the Fourth of July.

Umbrellas were out and people took to the water to cool off in the Bronx, as many New York City residents set out for Coney Island and the South Shore of Long Island.

Vendors were also on duty to keep beachgoers hydrated and happy with food.
