Many residents spent the day trying to cool themselves off from the oppressive heat.
Some people found shelter under trees, and others walked around without shirts. Some even took refuge inside local businesses to cool down.
Water spilling from water hydrants cooled off some residents, while others flocked to local pools.
Cooling centers around the borough were open for residents to take advantage of.
Temperatures heading into Tuesday will remain muggy and hot, but less humid and cooler temps are expected by Wednesday.
