8h agoSpring is still technically 10 days away, but residents got a taste of it on Monday.
People in Soundview and Country Club started the workweek out and about, enjoying the afternoon by circling the track on a walk or run, playing sports or taking their dogs out to soak in the sunny and mild conditions.
Community members told News 12 after a bone-chilling, teeth-chattering winter, the weather is exactly what they need.
“I feel very good,” said Martina Polanco, of Soundview. “I want to go shopping, go to the hairdresser.”
“I’m sweating,” said Ely Avila, of Soundview. “I have this jacket on! Wow! It’s good to go for the beach.”
The mild, sunny stretch is expected to continue during the week.
