Salamanca pulls out of Bronx borough president race, will seek reelection to City Council
Council Member Rafael Salamanca Jr. has pulled out of the race for Bronx borough president.
Salamanca announced he would instead seek reelection to City Council.
“I love my job, and I love serving and giving back to the South Bronx communities that have given me so much," Salamanca said in a statement. "It is clear that we will need strong, experienced leadership in the City Council in the coming years to help the Bronx recover from the pandemic."
