On Tuesday, the Supreme Court announced the Census is coming to an end sooner than expected.

The Supreme Court sided with the Trump administration, allowing the Census to end early.

Initially the plan was to continue the Census until Oct. 31, but President Donald Trump's administration asked the nation's highest court to suspend it. They argued that the Census Bureau needed time to begin processing data.

It is a move that didn't sit well with civil right groups and a coalition of local government who had sued the Trump Administration, claiming that minorities and other hard to count communities would be missed if the count was cut short. The Census says it has counted 99.9% of households in the United States.

These numbers are used to determine how much federal funding and how many congressional seats each state gets.

People who have yet to fill out the Census have until 6 a.m. Friday. However, if sending by mail it must be post marked by Thursday, Oct. 15.
