Mourners paid their respects to FDNY Lt. Alison Russo on Tuesday, the paramedic who was fatally stabbed in Queens.
Hundreds of responders attended the first wake for the 61-year-old of Huntington Monday.
Russo was a 25-year veteran of the department.
Those who worked with her say she made a lasting impression on everybody she worked with.
“We're blessed to have known her and the community's blessed to have had her," says Tom Hogan, Cold Spring Harbor.
The funeral services for Russo will be held on Wednedsay at 11 a.m. at the Tiles Center for Performing Arts in Brookville.
News 12 has learned Acting Fire Commissioner Laura Kavanagh will posthumously promote Lt. Alison Russo to captain at her funeral.
