As the battle to ease the burden on New York's health care system continues, Sen. Kirsten Gillibrand is taking it one step further.
Gillibrand announced Tuesday more than $130 million in federal funding to assist the state's overburdened healthcare workers. The funds are expected to go toward support for medical staff, maternal mental health programs and pandemic preparedness, among other things.
Gillibrand also voiced her support for the nurses who are
striking and making their voices heard across the city.
