Senior residents living inside of a NYCHA run building in the Bronx are frustrated after several days of flooding inside of their building.
Flooding began at the Morrisania Air Rights Senior Center Sunday.
A NYCHA spokesperson tells News 12 repairs were completed and water service was restored to the building after leaks caused flooding.
However, residents say pipes on different floors began leaking inside of the complex, and the elevator was shut down as a result.
Seniors say those living in the building who are disabled were forced to walk up the stairs to get to their homes.
The elevator has since been repaired and a food pantry has been on location helping residents get fresh food.
NYCHA says it will reimburse residents who's apartments were damaged as a result of the flooding.
