A Bronx man was killed in a late night motorcycle crash on I-87 in Yonkers.
State police say Gerardo Semidey lost control of his motorcycle and struck a concrete barrier just after midnight on the southbound side of the road at the McLean Avenue overpass.
According to police, the 44-year-old flew from his bike and sustained massive injuries. He was later pronounced dead at a hospital.
The accident is still under investigation. There was a sinkhole located just before the spot where the accident happened, but police have not confirmed it is what caused the rider to lose control.
All southbound lanes were closed for hours, but the road is now back open.
