Police say one person was killed in a shooting at an auto body shop in Deer Park.

Police say the man was fatally shot in the doorway of Triple J Auto Body, which was open at the time.

Police say a 911 call came in shortly before 8 p.m. Monday stating that a man had been shot at the shop located on Skidmore Road.

Police say the auto body shop was open and that employees and customers were inside at the time.

Police say the victim was not an employee or customer and was someone who hung out at the shop.

William Bono, who works next door, tells News 12 he didn't hear anything but knew something happened when several police cars pulled up.

“It's a shame, it really is, I hope somebody says something,” says Bono.

Police have not yet identified the victim, and no arrests have been made.

Police are asking anyone who may have information to give them a call.
