It's a colder start to the day with plenty of sunshine and a light brisk breeze. Temperatures are in the mid-40s. Today will be another bright and cool day with lighter winds. Highs are in the upper-50s.

It stays dry and cool through early next week. Temperatures are cooler than normal in the mid- to upper-50s. Our next chance of rain is Wednesday into Thursday. A potential coastal storm could bring rain, wind and coastal impacts to our area. It's still too soon to tell the exact timing and impacts, but the storm could last into Halloween. TRACKING THE TROPICS: Tropical Storm Melissa is continuing to barrel into the Greater Antilles. Consistent heavy rainfall will bring the risk of significant life-threatening flash flooding, numerous landslides, destructive winds and massive waves to portions of Haiti, Jamaica, Cuba and Dominican Republic through early next week. It is still on track to rapidly intensify to a major category three hurricane this weekend as it makes landfall near the eastern portions of Jamaica on Sunday. It will strengthen again to a category four after landfall early next week as it approaches Cuba. People who have family or friends in Jamaica should check in to make sure their loved ones has either evacuated or have a hurricane plan in place. There's still some uncertainty with the exact track of where this tropical system goes by the end of next week. Most computer models suggest Melissa stays away from the East Coast.
