STORM WATCH: Heavy wind and rain, flood watch overnight

Storm Watch meteorologist Darryl Green says New York City will see heavy wind and rain overnight. Wind gusts are predicated to be 30 - 50 mph with risks to tree limbs and power lines.

Storm Watch meteorologist Darryl Green says New York City will see heavy wind and rain overnight. Wind gusts are predicated to be 30 - 50 mph with risks to tree limbs and power lines.
Minor to moderate coastal flooding near the waterfront is also expected. A flood watch was issued from 10 p.m. Monday through Tuesday morning. A wind advisory was issued for the Bronx and Brooklyn from 8 p.m. Monday into 6 a.m. Tuesday.
TONIGHT: Rain, heavy at times, gusty winds, lows around the mid-40s, winds east to west from 15 to 30 mph, potential gusts from 40 to 50 mph.
TUESDAY: Morning wind and rain, highs from the low- to mid-50s, winds west from 15 to 25 mph, potential gust to 40 mph early.
WEDNESDAY: Sunny and cool, highs from the mid- to upper-50s.
THURSDAY: Cool and mostly cloudy, highs from the mid-50s to the low-60s.
FIRDAY: Warmer under a mix of sun and clouds, highs from the mid-60s to the low-70s.
SATURDAY: Cool and partly sunny, highs from the mid-50s to the low-60s.
