Ponding, minor flooding in poor drainage and low-lying areas and slick roads from the fallen leaves and oils from vehicles will bring messy travel conditions throughout the day. Windy showers continue through this evening. This rain will help saturate the ground, help with the ongoing drought and alleviate fire concerns for at least a week. However, it won't completely eliminate the drought, we'll need at least 10+ of rainfall to end the drought.
It turns colder and blustery into Friday morning with feel-like temperatures in the upper-20s, near 30 degrees. The storm system will stall North of our area and wraparound light scattered rain, wet snowflakes and blustery winds Friday evening as the storm system moves out. Highs are in the 40s on Friday. Up to 2" of rain will be possible through Friday.
No accumulating snow is expected with this storm. Highest wind gusts will be at the coast near 35mph through today. This weekend will brisk, breezy with a blend of sun and clouds. Highs will be in the 50s.
