Summer to fall: Noticeable changes heading into the weekend

Enjoy the warmth while it lasts, with cooler, drier air arriving this weekend, bringing highs in the 60s to near 70 and crisp nights in the 40s and 50s.
Fall is knocking on the door and it’s bringing that classic, crisp feel we’ve been waiting for. The autumnal equinox lands Monday, Sept. 22 at 2:19 p.m., marking the official start of fall. Day and night will be nearly equal, and from here, expect shorter days and longer nights as autumn settles in.
TRACKING THE TROPICS: Tropical Storm Gabrielle is forecast to intensify to a hurricane by early next week as it makes its closest approach to Bermuda.
