Temu tells News 12 that it is paying for the medical expenses of a Bronx woman who says a package from the company sent her to the hospital.
Biance Marrero says she ordered a children’s toy off of the Temu website, which she planned to give to her friend’s son as a surprise gift.
Marrero says she began to feel pain while assembling the toy. After her friend shined a light on it, they say they discovered fiberglass all over the toy.
Marrero was rushed to the hospital, where doctors discovered fiberglass shards all over her body. A doctor at Jacobi Hospital has confirmed that there is nothing that can be done until her body naturally rejects the foreign substance.
