Therapy dogs are helping teach kids how to better understand their feelings at a Bronx summer camp.
A Fair Shake for Youth and the Women's Housing Economic Development Corporation youth summer camp teamed up to teach middle schoolers social and emotional learning.
Twice a week, dogs from the A Fair Shake for Youth program visit students teaching them dog handling skills and participating in pet friendly enrichment activities.
The summer program runs for five weeks. The organizers are hoping to expand in the future to more schools and more students.
