Thousands take part in annual Bronx 10-mile race

More than 11,000 runners hit the streets Sunday as the New York Road Runners Five Borough Series made its way into the Bronx. The race started on the Grand Concourse and continued up to Mosholu Parkway.

More than 11,000 runners hit the streets Sunday as the New York Road Runners Five Borough Series made its way into the Bronx.
The race started on the Grand Concourse and continued up to Mosholu Parkway.
Runners had the option of completing either 10 miles or a or 3.2-mile course.
The series, which is in its 22nd year, has courses in each borough.
Proceeds from the entry fees will go toward the organization's youth running programs across the country.
