A vacant lot in Kingsbridge Heights once used for parking cars has now become a community garden.

The lots is located just outside the Kingsbridge Heights Community Center and sat abandoned.

Organizers and officials worked for six months to transform the spot on Kingsbridge Terrace into a community garden.

The community center says plots are still open to residents, and all you have to do to receive fresh vegetables is sign up.
