A virtual book drive is underway to put thousands of books into the hands of children and teens across New York City.
The New York City Administration for Children's Services partnered with the corporation "Citi" as part of the company's Global Community Day Reimagined campaign.
Anyone can donate and can choose from a list of books curated by ACS that are written by or about Black and Latin-x individuals.
The goal is to collect 2,500 books.
"We are really grateful in terms of how this all worked out, grateful to be partnering with that amazing team at ACS to make a positive impact in the lives of young people and really promote stories that reflect the great diversity of our city," says Stephanie Hochman, lead of Citi Volunteers at CitiGroup. "Each book that is donated through this drive Citi is going to match."
