A Westchester Square church is helping teenagers in the borough pay for college.
The Westchester United Methodist Church sold fried fish, chicken, dumplings and more at one of their annual's fundraisers aimed at raising money for students.
Samantha Oyathelemi is just one person who was able to get financial assistance thanks to the Gloster Current Scholarship Ministry.
"I was in school and it definitely helped when I needed books and supplies," Oyathelemi said.
She has since graduated and came back to help the cause.
Church organizers say they want to encourage students "towards a higher way of earning their future."
The only thing the ministry asks in return is for students to participate in church activities.
