The wet and windy weather has been a dangerous inconvenience for Bronx commuters Wednesday. Rainy conditions and wind gusts of up to 50 miles per hour have resulted in fallen trees and downed power lines. Con Edison has reported about 1,600 scattered power outages in Throgs Neck, Morrisania and Riverdale. During the morning rush hour, a tree fell across the Metro-North tracks at East 170th Street blocking traffic in both directions on the Harlem and New Haven lines. Metro-North has since been able to get two tracks open, however, there were delays of 60 to 90 minutes.
