Airports are now entering one of their busiest times of the year.
The first thing Thanksgiving travelers should prepare for are more crowded airports. The Federal Aviation Administration estimates over 45,000 flights Wednesday.
The FAA estimates
Thanksgiving will be the busiest travel weekend followed by Indigenous Peoples Day. AAA estimates travel will be up 8% this year over last year.
A spokesperson from Delta told News 12 they’ve added a buffer time in crew scheduling, extended boarding times and increased hiring and training for employees.
AAA says over 55 million people intend to
travel this year, so leave early to give yourself enough time to get through security and walk to the gate.
