New Jersey is experiencing windy and dry conditions expected to last into Friday.
Storm Watch Team Meteorologist Dave Curren says that the windy weather means an increased risk of wildfires. There is a red flag warning in effect until 10 p.m. because of the windy and dry conditions. A fire weather watch is in effect for Friday.
Thursday night will see mostly clear skies with temperatures dropping into the upper-30s.
Friday will continue to see breezy conditions under mostly sunny skies. Some clouds are possible. Daytime highs will be in the low-60s. Friday night will remain mostly clear, with temperatures cooling into the mid-30s.
Temperatures are expected to warm slightly for the weekend. Saturday should see a daytime high of around 66 degrees under mostly sunny skies. Overnight lows will cool into the upper-30s.
Sunday is expected to see a mix of sun and clouds, with temperatures in the upper-60s. Overnight lows will dip to the low-40s.
Some rain may return by Monday.
