A group of young local musicians is teaming up to give back to the community of Brownsville ahead of Thanksgiving.
Many lined up Saturday to grab some hot food and produce just before the holidays at an event sponsored by Life Foundation and hosted by Double action Music Group, which consists of young musicians who grew up in Brooklyn.
Their mission is to give back to the very community they grew up in, handing out plates of food and fresh produce so that no one goes hungry during the holidays.
This is the second year the group is hosting the food giveaway and the organizers say it was a great turnout.
The group says they have enough food to feed around 500 families and another truckload of produce still on the way.
