Residents in the Bronx headed to churches around the borough to celebrate Easter.
Families went to churches like Wake-Eden Baptist Church on Strang Avenue to pray and sing with their community.
Students at the church acted out stories from the Bible in costume.
Rev. Frank Williams, the church's pastor, says it helps bring the bible's message to life.
"We believe that in Christ, the world has a hope we cannot find anywhere else," says Williams. "We have various classes doing skits and the children are participating in song and different ways to make the gospel message both relevant and accessible to all populations."
