Police: Woman charged after child was found alone in the Bronx

Police say a 32-year-old woman is facing charges after a child was found alone in the Bronx over the weekend.

Police say a 32-year-old woman is facing charges after a child was found alone in the Bronx over the weekend.
The woman, identified as Abdul Salaam Sadeekah, is charged with abandonment of a child, act in manner injurious to a child and reckless endangerment. Police say she is the child's mother.
Police say they found the young girl, who they say is named Sidaya, on Saturday just after midnight on the corner at 156th Street and Prospect Avenue.
Investigators say about 10 minutes before she was found, surveillance cameras showed her in the company of a woman. 
The New York City Administration for Children's Services was looking after the child after she was found.
