Straphangers complain of Morris Park pigeons
The Morris Park subway station needs a facelift, according to a group of No. 5 train straphangers.
The riders complain that pigeon droppings litter the platform -- sometimes hitting passengers.
They say the platform goes days between cleanings and that the paint is peeling away. They also say netting designed to keep birds away is inadequate in parts of the station.
The group calls the above-ground portion of the station an embarrassment.
The MTA says that it's aware of the pigeon problem and that crews are scheduled to remove the peeling paint.
