Residents say a new Allerton mural depicting the recently canonized Mother Teresa is inspiring them to learn from the example she set.
The late nun and missionary was known for caring for the sick and poor. She became a Roman Catholic saint earlier this month.
The mural is part of a larger effort to beautify Bronx neighborhoods by replacing graffiti with beautiful and educational murals.
Area business owners say they support the addition, which they add may also be bringing them more business.
