A quick-thinking gas station attendant snapped a photo of an armed man who allegedly tried to use fake money to fill up.
According to police, the suspect threatened the attendant with a handgun after he refused to take a fake $100 bill at the Gulf gas station on East Gun Hill Road back on March 24. The suspect had put $57 worth of gasoline into his vehicle.
Investigators have now released the picture of the suspect, taken as he drove away from the scene, as well as a surveillance photo of the car he got away in.
The suspect is described as being Hispanic, and was wearing a white T-shirt or tank top. He was driving a gray 2012 Acura MDX.
