A Bronx-based minister is facing charges related to alleged sexual abuse of a child.

Police say 46-year-old Reginald Chery is charged with sexual conduct against a child and endangering the welfare of a child. The alleged incidents occurred between 2014 and 2016 in Nassau County.

Chery, who was arrested at his Brooklyn home, is a minister at the South Bronx Community Seventh-day Adventist Church and serves as a chaplain at St. John’s Episcopal Hospital in Queens.

If convicted, he could face up to 25 years in prison. Nassau County police are asking any potential victims to come forward.
