Hundreds of students and their science projects filled a Bronx gym Thursday as the Catholic Schools Science Fair kicked off.
Mount Saint Michael Academy was buzzing with enthusiasm from students anywhere from kindergarten to eighth grade. The competition has taken place annually over the past 30 years.
Topics ranged from plants to planets, to electricity and eggs. Participants had all won top prizes for their projects at their own schools. Educators from the area were the judges.
There will be one winner per school per grade vying for a trophy.
