A Ghanaian family laid a 53-year-old Bronx man to rest Friday after police say he was brutally stabbed to death just two blocks from his home last month.

George Ennin's funeral comes days after the accused killer pleaded not guilty to a slew of charges. Loved ones say their fight for justice is just beginning.

Inside a packed funeral home, family and friends sang spiritual songs to honor the life of Ennin, who police say was killed while on his way to work Jan. 5.

Surveillance video shows the moment investigators say Ennin was attacked on Third Avenue in broad daylight.

Prosecutors say 38-year-old Sean Jones, who is known to police and has an extensive criminal record, pounced on Ennin and stabbed him multiple times in what authorities describe as an unprovoked attack.

“What he did to my dad was not fair at all,” said Ennin’s 19-year-old daughter, Nanayaa. “Nobody in this world should ever take somebody’s life just like that.”

Nanayaa says she is still trying to process life without her father.

“I have to stay strong,” she said. “Life without him will be hard.”

Ennin and his daughters moved to the Bronx in 2011, bringing with them their strong Ghanaian culture.

Family members say Ennin was killed just days after returning home from a monthlong trip to Ghana. Nanayaa was visiting her aunt at the time and says she only got to hear her father’s voice over the phone before he was killed.

Jones is due back in court in March and faces multiple charges, including murder. Ennin’s family says they are laying him to rest, but their fight for justice is just beginning.
