A Bronx man celebrated a magnificent milestone Friday.
Arthur Douglas Sr. celebrated his 100th birthday at the James Monroe Senior Center surrounded by dozens of friends and family.
State Sen. Ruben Diaz honored the local grandfather with a certificate of merit for his longevity.
Douglas was born in Jamaica in 1915 and came to the Bronx in 1957, where he lived for decades with his wife and three children.
"One of the secrets is I tried to live a perfect life with myself and all people I come in contact with," says Douglas.
Douglas told News 12 he couldn't wish for anything more than his friends celebrating with him for his birthday.
