UA Local 1 to offer 5-year paid apprentice program for plumbers for 1st time in 2 years
An apprenticeship with the Plumber's Union offers an opportunity to learn while getting paid. News 12's Valerie Ryan checks out the program and spoke with a woman who says plumbing is where she belongs.

UA Local 1 is offering a five-year paid apprenticeship program for plumbers that features both classroom and field experience.
It also provides apprentices with benefits and a pension.
Sofia Rossainzz, an apprentice in the program, says corporate America didn't suit her, but plumbing makes her feel a part of something bigger.
Applications for the plumbers Local 1 apprenticeship opens back up on June 10 for the first time in two years.
