A 311 noise complaint escalated into a violent clash between police and a group of people barbecuing on Thursday night in East Tremont.

The incident that resulted in four arrests and multiple injuries was caught on video.

A man, who says his wife was arrested, says their car was double parked on East 180th Street and Anthony Avenue when officers arrived and told the group to pack it up and leave.

Police say she grabbed an officer's vest and scratched him in the face, and he began to write her a ticket.

A man who is a friend of the people involved says he witnessed the encounter.

"We were packing up our stuff. All of a sudden, one of our friends' wives had the baby in her hand. She went to move her car that was double parked, and the cops just grabbed her, without letting her get in the car, with the baby in her hand. So that's when everything erupted," said the man, named Gerry.

Police say when the crowd didn't' leave, they called for backup. They claim that two Bronx men in the group punched several officers, while a third man from New Jersey climbed onto a vehicle and pushed officers before he was arrested.

The NYPD says three officers were injured in the incident.

Gerry says a friend of his got shocked with a Taser. He says the friend came around the corner because he was trying to get away from the Taser.

"He ended up right here on the floor, and that's when the cops came and started punching him and beating on him on the curb. He was not resisting. He had his hands out," Gerry recounted.

Four people were arrested, and a person was given a summons for disorderly conduct.
