Just steps away from Central Park is Char-CUTE-rie, a charcuterie shop handcrafting photogenic snack boards – where everything is, quite literally, “cute.” 

Entrepreneur duo and longtime best friends Sara Rojas and Louisa Ramirez opened the bite-size gem in July 2024. 

"OMG, charcuterie, it has the word ‘cute’ in there. We have to have a whole slogan of cute,” retold Rojas of the moment Ramirez called her with the idea. “I said OK let’s just run with it, so everything is cuties, you are so cute.” 

Customers can customize their boards with truffle cheddar, flower-shaped salami, homemade passionfruit jam and more.  

Across Europe, sharing meats, cheeses, fruits and crackers in parks is a popular pastime. Char-CUTE-rie is offering that experience in Manhattan. “Location was key,” Rojas said. “We’re on the way to the park.” 

Their mission? To serve up cheeseboards ready for a picnic in the park. The shop also offers "cuties," bite-sized sandwiches and rentable picnic baskets with blankets, plastic wine glasses and mini table.  

“I feel like our dreams that we talked about over wine are coming true,” Ramirez said with a laugh. “It’s just nice to see.”
