Temperatures finally climbed above freezing Tuesday, reaching the 40s and prompting people across the borough to head outdoors.
They still made sure to layer up, of course, and found themselves avoiding puddles, not black ice.
Tuesday's warmup comes after two weeks of a deep freeze.
Temperatures are expected to remain relatively warm until the weekend, with highs climbing to 38 Wednesday, 48 Thursday and despite some rain, into the 50s on Friday and Saturday.
