Community celebrates Joseph Migliucci Way in Bronx's Little Italy

A man the Belmont neighborhood called a walking staple for the community was honored in a very special way on Thursday in the Bronx's Little Italy.
Joseph Migliucci Way will now hold a forever spot between Arthur Avenue and East 184th Street. Loved ones and community members who knew Migliucci gathered and shared remarks on how he impacted and served the community for many years.
In 2019, his restaurant, Mario's Restaurant, celebrated 100 years.
"He was always on the street, he always had a smile, he's a good businessman, he was a great chef," said Belmont Business Improvement District's Frank Franz.
"I'm sure he's smiling down on us today as the people the neighborhood that he cherished, honors him back in a very special way," Migliucci's daughter Regina said as she addressed the community on Thursday.
