Police identify victim in deadly Milford crash that shut down I-95 for hours

The crash occurred at about 12:30 a.m. near the Exit 38 off-ramp.

Police have released the identity of the man killed in a motorcycle crash on I-95 in Milford Thursday as Jose Rivera of Hamden.

The crash happened shortly after midnight near exit 38 but was not discovered until around 12:20 p.m., according to state police.

Rivera failed to navigate a turn and struck a barrier and six sand barrels.

The northbound side of I-95 was closed from exit 36 to exit 38, causing major delays.
