CT Senate to hold special session for recreational marijuana bill, budget 'implementer' bill

The state Senate will be coming back Tuesday for a special session for the recreational marijuana bill and to vote on the budget "implementer" bill.
The bill actually spends the money in the bipartisan budget passed this week. It could potentially include some items that failed in the regular legislative session, like Gov. Ned Lamont's controversial Transportation Climate Initiative pact.
The plan would see Connecticut join Rhode Island, Massachusetts and Washington, D.C., in making fuel suppliers pay for pollution. Republicans blasted the plan as a "gas tax."
The House will vote on both the implementer and marijuana bills on Wednesday.
