Thousands of demonstrators marched through the streets of New York City in response to the indictment announcement in the Breonna Taylor case.

None of the three officers involved in the fatal shooting of Taylor will be charged for her death. However, one officer is facing three counts of shooting into neighboring apartments.

Former Louisville police officer Brett Hankison is charged with three counts of wanton endangerment. Hankison is one of three officers who opened fire in Taylor’s apartment back in March, as they were serving a late-night warrant.

The Barclays Center has become a home base for a lot of the demonstrations this summer in response to the deaths of George Floyd, Breonna Taylor and other Black Americans.

On Tuesday, officials in Louisville, Kentucky, were prepared for unrest--placing the city under curfew overnight.

Officials set up barriers, closed roads and patrolled the streets as the country awaited the results of the investigation announced on Wednesday.

"The truth is now before us. the facts have been examined and a grand jury comprised of our peers and fellow citizens has made a decision. justice is not easy, it does not fit the mold of public opinion, it does not conform to shifting standards. It answers only to the facts and to the law. with this in mind, we must ask ourselves, where do we go from here,” said Attorney General Daniel Cameron.
