The massive space that is the Kingsbridge Armory is still available, and new proposals are still coming in ahead of the proposal deadline.

Developers and potential investors got the chance to picture what the future would look like inside the armory on Tuesday, taking a tour of the 600,000 square foot space.

The location is currently under a request for proposals process, and one of those proposals could spearhead the space for on-screen production.

“Film and television production in New York generates $82 billion every year. Every year. And creates jobs for 185,000 and we want some of those 185,000 people to be situated right here in the Bronx,” said Pat Swinney Kaufman, commissioner of the Mayor’s Office of Media and Entertainment.

The deadline to submit proposals is Jan. 18, 2024.
