The Department of Transportation wants to hear from Brooklyn residents to help address safety concerns along Third Avenue.
The most action needed along Third Avenue, according to lawmakers, is between 62nd Street and Prospect Avenue under the Brooklyn-Queens Expressway. The tarp that covers the overpass and construction lots makes it a less commuter-friendly area.
This comes as the city has been working to make improvements to the Brooklyn-Queens Expressway. Now commuters along Third Avenue want their voices to be heard.
The Department of Transportation will hear feedback from neighbors and then work to create solutions to some of these problems.
Commuters will be able to take part in the in-person workshops on April 18 and April 27.
