The FDNY responded to a massive fire in Bed-Stuy Monday night.
Firefighters responded to 283 Monroe St. at around 7:40 p.m.
The FDNY says there is extensive damage not only to the building on Monroe Street, but also to the building next to it.
The fire chief says it appears the building was under renovation and was structurally compromised. He says firefighters discovered holes in the floor.
The FDNY says one firefighter fell through the floor, but is expected to be OK.
It's now up to the Department of Buildings to determine the safety and stability of the structure.
