Emergency personnel say a fire broke out on the third floor of a residential building on Bruckner Boulevard in Longwood Sunday just after 6 p.m.

Fire fighters were able to quickly put out the fire, according to residents.

Residents next door told News 12, off camera, they saw the flames. Soon after, they witnessed burnt items being thrown from the third-floor windows.

The Red Cross were on scene assisting affected families.

No injuries were reported.

It was not immediately clear what caused the fire as of Sunday night.
