Gov. Kathy Hochul took a stand against hate crimes in New York City, announcing a four-pillar plan on Tuesday. 
The plan includes a hate and bias support hotline, targeted ads on social media, helping parents see the signs that their kids may be dealing with health crimes, and training mental health experts.  
Gov. Hochul highlighted the recent rise in hate crimes that have been plaguing New York City, and that she is demanding social media companies like TikTok to regulate the hate speech spread on the platform.
