Evening storms bring threat of downpours, flash flooding
This evening's storms are bringing the threat of flash flooding.
Storms will move through the area until 2 a.m. News 12 meteorologists say these storms will likely feature more torrential downpours that can cause flash flooding.  Some spots could get over 2 inches of rain in a short period of time.
Some storms may have heavy rain, gusty winds and possible hail.

A heat advisory was issued through 8 p.m. A severe thunderstorm watch was issued through 10 p.m.
The heat will continue Friday with highs near 90 degrees.
