An upgrade at the Patterson Garage on the campus of Bronx Community College is now complete – all to continue its support the school’s automotive technology program.
The garage upgrade was made possible through a $9 million state grant to the school, $4 million of which went to the automotive program. It now has tools to fix electric cars, as well at several Nissan EVs that students can work on.
There are currently 250 students enrolled in the program.
A plaque dedicated to Clement Drummond, who has run the program since 2006, was presented to him Tuesday.
